The Erasmus+ project “Empathy: a path towards tolerance and understanding” aims to help, through a non-formal education course, educator and trainers in the youth sector to develop competencies which are mostly neglected.
Empathy is a social skill with fundamental relevance, it represents one of the basic tools for a interpersonal, efficient and pleasing communication.
The project expects to host 25 participants belonging to seven partner organisations, for a period of 5 days in Treviso(TV) Italy:
- First flow: 3 organisations with 3 participants each + ETV EuroTreviso with 2 partecipants = 11 participants;
- Second flow: 3 organisations with 3 participants each + ETV EuroTreviso with 5 partecipants = 14 participants.
The project will be developed dealing daily three main topics (knowing the others, working on empathy and self-awareness) with the same program for both flows.
The activities will be developed in an office with a wide room where all the participants involved in every flow could feel comfortable. The activities will be carried by ETV EuroTreviso trainers and experts in the field of psychology and social relationships. Their presence will be necessary to stimulate the debate and the growth of the people involved within the non-formal education action. In fact, among the project’s targets, there is one of improving the quality of trainers who works with association in the youth’s field.
