“Survive and Thrive: Exploring youth goals through outdoor games” is an Erasmus+ youth exchange project that will bring together 24 young participants and 6 group leaders from 6 countries (Czechia, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain) in Tinos island, Greece.
During the 8-day activity plan, participants will have the opportunity to understand the 11 Youth Goals through outdoor activities, exploring different natural parts of the island.
Activities include:
- “Eco-challenges” by the beach
- Village treasure hunts
- Town-hall meeting debate in town squares
- Exploring a Cycladic labyrinth of boulders
- Experiencing Tinos local production and services
- Cultural evenings to share music, dance, and traditions
… all while exploring and living out the 11 European Youth Goals in the most unexpected ways.
This project aims to boost confidence, foster creativity, and promote cultural understanding, providing participants with valuable skills and experiences to take back to their communities.
As we involve strong FS Network partners in this project, our goal is to strengthen the ties between FS Network partners and newcomers through different experiential experiences.
The objectives of the “Survive and Thrive” project are as follows:
- Promote a healthy lifestyle through group work and outdoor activities.
- Increase awareness and understanding of the 11 European Youth Goals.
- Develop key competences in a rural environment.
- Foster participation, inclusion and civic engagement across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Promote environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, inspired by the natural setting of Tinos island.
- Support mental well-being, digital detox and emotional resilience.
- Raise awareness about the positive effects of outdoor activities in our lives.
- Build cooperation through outdoor challenges.
- Empower participants as Ambassadors of the Youth Goals, capable of spreading awareness and action back home.
- Inspire local engagement by involving local youth and communities.
