This project was created to bring young people’s attention to the problem of diseases of affluence to which they are exposed at large degrees. Diseases of affluence are diseases caused by rapid civilization development, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy diet, the use of stimulants and increased susceptibility to stress.
The goals of the project were to define the impact of society on the incidence of diseases of affluence, to raise awareness among young people about their susceptibility to those diseases, to increase awareness of the prevention of them, to promote the prevention of diseases of affluence, to compare and to identify differences and similarities about this problem among partner countries, to learn about the symptoms of those diseases, to work out ways to combat them, and to stimulate young people to think critically about themselves and what they can do to protect themselves and help others.
