The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Youth Save The Planet” was born from the need to raise awareness among young people about the value, care and safeguarding of the environment and our planet.
Project objectives:
- Provide young people with accurate and updated information about climate change, its causes, impacts and solutions, through different activities (talks, workshops, games).
- Motivate young people to get actively involved in the fight against climate change. This may include the organizing awareness campaigns, and promoting sustainable behavioural changes in their daily lives.
- Empower young people to become leaders in the fight against climate change.
- Encourage collaboration: Climate change is a global challenge that requires collaborative efforts. Young people should be encouraged to work in collaboration with other youth organizations, educational institutions, governments local and other relevant actors.
- Inspire long-term change: in addition to raising awareness about climate change in the present, it is important to inspire young people to take long-term actions and become agents of change throughout their lives. This can be achieved by promoting role models, success stories and examples of young people who are having a positive impact in the fight against climate change.
- Include a cultural exchange in the project activities. This allows young people to immerse themselves in other cultures, interact with people from different backgrounds and understand the similarities and differences between them, but with the same goal, that is, knowledge and measures, to mitigate climate change. This helps foster respect and mutual appreciation.
- Create a multicultural network of students and young professionals and improve their intercultural communication skills through teamwork activities.
- Provide young people with the opportunity to travel and participate in the project, regardless of their background economic and social.
- Increase cooperation with other organizations active in the fields of education, training and youth to in order to exchange practices and ideas on the organization of a mobility project.
- Improve participants’ competence in the Spanish language and their knowledge of culture and society Spanish.
- Develop the participants’ sense of citizenship and European identity.
