The Erasmus+ project “HOPE – Helping Out Perceiving Exclusions” will unite 30 participants from Czech Republic, Turkey, Italy, Bulgaria and Poland.
Taking place in Tykocin (Poland), the project will provide a platform for collaborative exploration of innovative ideas to reduce waste and promote sustainable living practices.
The main reason for the lack of proper development among young people is the absence of appropriate techniques and the lack of suitable psychological approaches by educators or youth workers. This particularly affects youth with fewer opportunities or lower competencies, as the lack of adequate resources means they do not receive the attention and time needed to develop and achieve success.
Youth workers do not possess the necessary knowledge and, most importantly, cannot adapt methods to the natural predispositions of young people.
The project was created to equip youth workers with the essential competencies and knowledge through participation in a series of activities.
Project objectives:
- Raising awareness among youth workers about the most common barriers in sharing knowledge to individuals with lower competencies;
- Equipping participants with methods for working with youth who have fewer opportunities/capabilities;
- Deepening the soft skills necessary for working with the youth, such as listening skills, motivating, and various effective ways of conveying information;
- Presenting participants with key psychological theories that will enable them to understand the barriers to reaching their audience, through the creation of several online lessons on the competencies necessary for working with individuals with lower capabilities;
- Helping other youth workers by sharing the results.
