Within the European priorities and, more specifically, within the European Youth Goals:
3 – Inclusive Societies;
4 – Information & Constructive Dialogue;
9 – Space and Participation for All;
the Erasmus+ project “PODCast – POwer of Diverse Communities” aims to be a link between youth workers and young people at risk of exclusion.
It has been proven that, through communication, different skills and competences are developed, such as social skills, teamwork, conflict management, etc., without going any further than intercultural dialogue and debate, as well as other types of personal and professional skills.
Through this project, the young people who participate in it directly will acquire a series of skills to integrate into society in a more synergic way. They will be spokespersons and empowered through their voices, telling stories and reporting on relevant issues. As a result, they will be more motivated to face the challenges of the world of work and to maintain an active participation in society as a member of society.
The general objectives of the project are:
- To provide youth workers with the necessary tools to work with young people in the creation of podcasts and digital environments.
- Generating and creating quality content for youth workers to work through podcast with young people at social risk of exclusion. There is a lack of guidelines for youth workers to focus on this field.
- To work through communication, confidence and youth empowerment to promote the integration of young people at risk of social exclusion.
- With young people, the main objective is to provide them with spaces and tools with which they can actively take part in society.
- In the long term, the aim is to provide participants with a broader vision and to develop skills that will enable them to integrate into the labour market.
