The main aim of the Erasmus+ youth exchange project “Facts over fiction” is to come together, review and strengthen the critical knowledge about fake news and propaganda.

Then, this knowledge will be shared with the communities by creating a podcast episode.

The approach will critically examine the concept of fake news and the participants will gain practical skills needed to produce a podcast as the main output.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Develop critical thinking and media literacy skills to question, evaluate and analyse what we listen and read.
• Deepen our knowledge on information verification.
• Learn our rights and limitations when using the online space.
• Encourage young people to become active, engaged media consumers and users.
• Increase youth participation through civic journalism to strengthen the basis of democracy.
• Facilitate networking and further co-operation between participants and their organizations for issues concerning Media Literacy across EU members and neighbouring countries.
