The idea of the Erasmus+ project “Truth (or/and) Fake” is to empower young individuals against the proliferation of fake news, stereotypes, and prejudices.
Through innovative digital campaigns and cross-cultural youth exchanges, participants from various European countries will develop critical thinking skills, media literacy, and awareness of internet protection.
By utilizing non-formal education methods, the project strives to create informed and responsible citizens capable of countering misinformation, promoting tolerance, and contributing to a cleaner digital environment.
Project objectives:
- To increase the critical thinking skills and abilities to deal with fakes in social media;
- To raise awareness of youngsters on internet literacy and mechanisms of online protection;
- To reduce the existence of stereotypes and hate speech among people;
- To develop, start, and maintain a sustainable online informational campaign for promoting safe internet and media literacy;
- To get a better knowledge about the topics of fakes and stereotypes, better insight on the local, country-wide and european-wide context of this problem;
- To introduce participants to the no hate speech movement and EUvsDisinfo, explore their aims, objectives, and instruments;
- To explore the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027.
