Young people across Europe today face a variety of challenges, such as increasing competition in education and the job market, difficulties in accessing social rights, social exclusion and discrimination. At the same time, young people are closing themselves off in their own world full of technological devices, which only adds to their frustration.
The covid situation has resulted in loneliness, lack of social contact with peers, and spending most of their time in front of a computer screen. Because young people are constantly online, checking email, browsing Facebook, watching TV and playing video games, the amount of time they spend online is increasing. The amount of time they spend actively outdoors has decreased somewhat over the past decades. Therefore, we decided to organize a project that will encourage young people to spend time outdoors.
Project objectives:
- Increase participants’ knowledge of the Erasmus + program and encourage youth with fewer opportunities to participate in international youth projects;
- Fostering the creation of new project ideas based on the use of outdoor methods and techniques;
- Increase awareness of young people in Poland and partner countries about their susceptibility to the “diseases of civilization”;
- Fostering the exchange and sharing of practices, experiences, methods and techniques of outdoor education in different countries;
- To improve the quality of youth work with a special focus on young people with fewer opportunities in partner organizations;
- Building partnerships between organizations.
